She started to change, to melt inside. For some odd reason and yet maybe...maybe she did know why.
Her hair lost its beautiful shine and became flat and dull. Her skin, oh how lovely it had once been. Pale and soft, like light, but now it was tinged with flecks of grey and yellow.
Her nails turned black, and became brittle. Something was very wrong indeed. And then hunger...oh she was so hungry. No matter what she ate or how much, she still wanted more and more, never satisfied.
Her personality changed. One moment, she wanted to laugh and run around and play. But the next moment, she wanted to push someone and yell and be angry. Something was happening.
One night, a dark, cold and lonely night, she opened her window as she was getting ready for bed. She was about to lie down when a slight breeze came in, soft and gentle. She sniffed the fresh air and felt a strange sense of nostalgia.
She inched over to the window and was covered in bright moonlight.
A howl, and a shiver, and she was gone through the window and into the woods forever.
No one claimed to ever see her again. People looked for her, of course. They finally determined that a wolf, whose tracks they had seen, had taken her. Strange though. They had found no blood or sign of struggle.
